Tropical Cyclone Harold

Port Vila, Vanuatu

In light of the Tropical Cyclone Harold affecting parts of Vanuatu, Air Vanuatu’s jet aircraft, Boeing 737- 800, will relocate to Honiara, Solomon Islands for shelter.

With guidance and approval from the Civil Aviation Authority of Vanuatu (CAAV) and the Vanuatu National Disaster Management Office (NDMO), the aircraft will depart at 12:00pm today.

We expect the aircraft to return to Port-Vila on Wednesday, 08 April 2020, subject to weather conditions.

Both Solomon Islands and Vanuatu are currently COVID-19 free.
