Vacancy for Sales & Reservation Agent - Full Time & Part Time Positions


About the Role

Air Vanuatu is seeking positive, vibrant, and customer-focused individuals to join our Sales and frontline customer service team. In this role, you will work across our ticketing offices, contact centre, and back-office functions to support our Guests with their travel needs, including reservations and ticketing services.  You will play an important role in delivering a seamless and enjoyable customer experience, demonstrating a passion for exceptional service and a genuine desire to assist Guests throughout their travel journey.

What you will be Doing:

  • Provide professional and friendly customer service across face-to-face, phone, and email channels
  • Assist Guests with travel enquiries, reservations, ticketing, and general information
  • Promote and sell Air Vanuatu products and services, converting enquiries into bookings
  • Prepare and provide accurate fare quotes based on customer requirements
  • Create, issue, and manage bookings using the airline reservation system
  • Amend, reissue, and service existing bookings in accordance with fare rules and procedures
  • Process payments and transactions in line with company policies and procedures
  • Communicate schedule changes and assist Guests with alternative travel arrangements
  • Ensure all bookings are completed with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Respond to customer enquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints, escalating where required
  • Perform flight updates and booking adjustments as required
  • Support operational requirements across ticketing offices, contact centre, and back-office functions

Requirements for this Role:

  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in customer service, call centre, or tourism industry or a Certificate or Diploma from a reputable tertiary institution
  • Able to communicate fluently in French or English
  • Being able to speak a second language – Japanese or Chinese would be advantageous
  • Computer literate and a working knowledge of Microsoft suit of products
  • Be a team player in order to work and the team members
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
  • High level of integrity and accountability, particularly when handling payments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong data entry skills and attention to details and accuracy
  • Able to work shift work and weekends / public holidays
