Exports
It is the duty of the shipper to ensure they comply with the requirements of departing and destination country.
All cats, dogs and other pets must be accompanied by an official Health Certificate provided by the Vanuatu Biosecurity and the Import Permit by the importing country, not more than 48 hours prior to the time of departure.
Export of Live Animals requirements;

Imports
All breed of cats, and certain breeds of dogs are permitted into Vanuatu. Please contact the Vanuatu Biosecurity at [email protected]
The following breeds of dog are NOT PERMITTED for importation into Vanuatu:
• Pit bull terrier or American pit bull
• Japanese Tosa
• Fila Brasileiro
• Dogo Argentino
• Presa Canario
Import of Live Animals requirements;

Note: Live Animals MUST NOT be imported as baggage. Live Animals are not permitted for carriage in the passenger cabin, this includes service dogs. All Live Animals must travel as Cargo only.
Dangerous Goods
Dangerous goods including chemicals, compressed gases, flammable liquids and poisons can be carried under special conditions of acceptance, packaging and labeling to comply with International Air Transport Association (IATA) regulations. Upon request the cargo agent will request a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for the Dangerous Goods items.
Perishable Goods
All perishables cargo uplift must comply with local and other applicable authorities requirements in accordance with the current IATA Perishable Cargo Regulations (PCR). The requirement to comply with applicable authorities (Customs / Quarantine) may generally completed before arrival and / or departure of the shipment.
Valuable and Vulnerable
Valuable cargo requires special handling, so certain restrictions may apply. Precious shipments need special attention to ensure safe and secured transport. They are handled under specific security measures from acceptance to delivery in accordance with local regulations and conditions both at origin and destination.
Human Remains
We are serious about the care and sensitivity of transporting departed loved ones to their final resting place. Human remains shipment must be accompanied by the following official documents:
1. Airway Bill
2. Death Certificate
3. Registration of Death
4. Hospital or Doctor’s Medical Report
5. Warrant to bury
6. Certificate of laying of corpse into coffin
7. Sealing Certificate from hospitals, Funeral home
8. Embalming Certificate
9. Certify transport of Human Remains
10. Declaration as to Casket Containing Human Remains
11. Copy of passport of deceased person
12. In cases where a copy of the passport is unavailable, the human remains must be accompanied by a “laissez-passer for human remains”, issued by the appropriate public health authority of the State of origin
Weight Restrictions
For shipment of cargo and to comply with Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) requirements the item must not weigh more than 30kg per piece.
