TC Gina Causes Suspension of Air Services

Due to the weather conditions and flooding caused by tropical cyclone Gina, Air Vanuatu confirms that all flight services for  today Friday 20^th of May are currently suspended. Andrew Carew Manager Flight Operations has confirmed that the airline’s engineering team will carry out an assessment on the aircraft to ensure we can operate safely and to await an operation assessment report from Airports Vanuatu that the airport is open for use.

International services from Port Vila to Sydney that were scheduled for this morning, will be re-scheduled. All passengers are asked to remain patient and will be contacted by the Airline as soon as the new flight details are confirmed.

All domestic services scheduled to operate today have also been cancelled and rescheduled to the beginning of next week.
