Air Vanuatu's Rebooking Policy

In preparation for the 1st of July international border opening, Air Vanuatu has updated its policy governing tickets booked prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. The national airline’s policy allows the ticket holders who hold a confirmed ticket(s) issued before March 2020, to re-book new travel dates for free and travel any time before end of 2023.

Honouring these existing tickets that were paid for prior to the COVID-19 pandemic is a generous measure and demonstrates the national airline’s commitment to supporting Vanuatu’s tourism industry as a whole. The airline’s policy enables the onward flow of economic benefit across the sector to hotels, restaurants, tour operators and other businesses who all benefit. It also contributes to the positive impression travellers have of the country and reinforces a warm Melanesian welcome. This is especially important in a competitive tourism market.

Customers with tickets, and people with friends and family who were booked to visit, are required to re-book new travel dates as soon as possible, while there is maximum availability in the international flight schedule. All rebooking must be done before 31st December 2022. To rebook from within Vanuatu please contact Air Vanuatu via email [email protected] or call 20200 or contact your travel agent. Travellers from Australia are asked to email [email protected] & from New Zealand to [email protected].  For those travellers who have been with their Travel Agent should contact them to rebook.

The airline has also provided assurance to new customers considering flying out of Vanuatu that they will provide maximum flexibility on new international tickets. Change fee and fare differences may apply when rebooking new flights.
