Air Vanuatu Domestic Services

 Air Vanuatu today announced that it will operate a reduced schedule across its entire domestic network, following the State Of Emergency (SoE) issued by His. Excellency Pastor Obed Talis MOSES at midday yesterday.

Based on the advice received from the National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) and in collaboration with the Vanuatu Civil Aviation Authority (CAAV), Air Vanuatu continues to maintain domestic passenger and cargo services.

As required under the SoE Regulation Order No. 35 of 2020, clause 3. Curfew on businesses

  • All businesses are prohibited from operating after 7:30pm.
  • For the purposes of sub clause (1), businesses means any person or company that operates a business from a physical premise in Vanuatu for the purpose of making a profit but does not include fuel station. 

Air Vanuatu current domestic operating hours are from 6:00am through to 6:00pm. 

Air Vanuatu has suspended all scheduled international services until further notice.

“All domestic operations are maintained subject to advice and instructions from NDMO and the State of Emergency guidelines” says CAAV Director, Jackie Langati Trief.

Air Vanuatu Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Joel Lengsau stated “Air Vanuatu plays a vital role in providing air connectivity to facilitate exchange of goods and services in Vanuatu. Under the current State of Emergency declared by the Head of State yesterday, we will be working with the national aviation regulator [CAAV] to ensure we are fully compliant and operate within the applicable restrictions.”
